Warbunkers - The Final Showdown

This game is shareware. This means "try before buy". You are allowed to play
the shareware version as much as you like but we hope you decide to buy this
by filling out the order.frm and sending it to us (remember to include money!)

I) Requirements
In order to play Warbunkers - The Final Showdown, you need the following:
■ IBM AT or compatible computer
■ 64 kb Expanded RAM
■ 1.5 megabytes of Harddisk space
■ VGA graphics
■ Microsoft combatible mouse
Recommended:
■ Sound Blaster sound card
■ 386DX or faster CPU
II) Installation
In order to install Warbunkers, you will need to make a directory (for example
C:\WARBNKER), and to unpack the file WARBNKER.ZIP into the directory.
Proceed to III) Setup.
III) Setup
Before running Warbunkers, you need to correctly configure it by running
the SETUP.EXE file. To do so:
1. Change to the drive and directory in which Warbunkers is located.
2. type SETUP [ENTER] at the command line.
3. If you are using pc-speaker for sound you do not need to configure it, but
the use of Sound Blaster sound card requires some information about your
configuration, but in many cases you can use the "Auto-detect" option.
IV) Getting Started
To get started all you have to do is to run the file WARBNKER.EXE and select
the "New Game" option when the menu comes up. Proceed by choosing the number
of players, and the scenario (in the shareware version (remember to register!)
you have only the choice of the "Custom", the "Grassland" or the "Wet grassland"
scenario. Remember to buy weapons in the "Black Market" and to push "Done"
afterwards. Set your angle and power and launch those grenades!
V) The Menu
Note: Clicking with the right button returns to last menu, and clicking the
right button "in-game" returns you to the menu.
The menu has the following options:
NEW GAME
Starts a new game, and you must choose the number of players and if they
are "computer guided" or human players. The computer player has a rating of
1-5, where 5 is the toughest.
LOAD GAME
There are 5 load/save slots available. Push one of them to load a previously
saved game.
SAVE GAME
Saves the game you are currently playing. Choose a slot and write your
description. This option is NOT available if you are not currently playing
a game.
CONTINUE GAME
Continues the game you are currently playing. This option is NOT available if
you are not currently playing a game.
GAME OPTIONS
Note: Some of the game options have no effect if you are playing a scenario.
Events: Funny things that happen.
Objectives: Funny things that are better off dead! (i.e. if you shoot them
they pay $$$).
Freemarket: Prices change depending on how much they are bought (and sold).
Interest rate: Change the interest rate of the money you "save".
Start cash: Change your starting cash.
Computer buy: If computers buy bigger guns.
Changing winds: Changing winds on/off
Walls: Different walls with different effects.
Gravity: Changes the gravity of the USER DEFINED scenario.
Smoke: Traces your shots.
Tank fall: Whether or not the tanks will fall if the earth is blown away.
Earth fall: Whether or not the earth fall down.
SOUND OPTIONS
Turn the cool effects on/off.
ORDER INFO
This game is shareware (and copyrighted (c) Cyber Fantasies 1995.)
That means that you have this limited version until you decide to buy the whole
game. You can play this version as long as you want, and by looking in the
ORDER.FRM you can see how to order it.

QUIT
Quits the game... (you could've guessed that!?)
VI) The Black Market
This is where you buy your weapons, armour and other goodies. Notice that only
some of the weapons are available in the shareware version.
VII) The Game
Note: Push [M] while in game to MASS KILL EVERYBODY...
In the game you have a number of different buttons to push. The "Cannon" button
fires your currently selected weapon. You change weapons by clicking the arrows
next to the weapon icon. Right click on the weapon icon will show a list of
your weapons. You change the direction of your shot bye changing the "ANGLE".
The middle "ARMOUR" icon shows how much armour you have got left (you haven't
got any armour from the beginning). A right click on that icon will produce a
"DAMAGE REPORT" screen where you can see how much you have been damaged.
VIII) Damage Report
On this screen you can see how much you have been damaged.
If any location is brought to 0 percent you will blow up. Reactor damage will
result in limited power. Bridge damage will result in your shots not beeing
very precise
IX) Note To Vendors
If you are a publisher of shareware CD's or similar you are encouraged to
spread this game on your disks/CD-ROMs, but in order for us to know where
this product goes you will have to get WRITTEN PERMISSION from us before
putting it on your CD-ROMs.
